High Holy Days Appeal 2026

Shalom,
Usually at this time of year, synagogues across the UK begin to select charities for their High Holy Day appeals and we have a favour to ask.
Our work is vital in helping build more inclusive Jewish communities across the UK and this work continues to grow as more LGBT+ Jews turn to Jewish spaces to feel safe, welcomed and accepted for who they are. However, as costs rise, we can only continue our work if we can raise more funds. As the UK's only Jewish LGBT+ education and training charity, we rely on donations to fund our work. We receive no government funding.
Over the past two years we have had to work harder than ever to raise money and keep going. This is where you can help. As synagogues and communities across the UK plan their High Holy Day appeals, please ask them to consider KeshetUK. We have put together this template letter for you to download, personalise and send to your community leaders.
Every penny truly makes a difference so no matter the size of your community, anything raised through an appeal will have a direct impact on the lives of LGBT+ Jews across the UK.
“KeshetUK is transforming the landscape of LGBT+ inclusion within the UK’s Jewish community with courage, authenticity, and profound impact. Their work tackles deeply held taboos and long-standing silences, helping to build bridges across generations, religious perspectives, and cultural boundaries. For many LGBT+ young people, their presence marks the first time they have felt truly seen and supported within their faith community. Their work empowers individuals, transforms communities, and ensures that diverse Jewish voices—including those of LGBT+ people—are not just heard, but welcomed. ” - Anonymous supporter, National Diversity Awards 2025
In the meantime, you can also set up a monthly donation to KeshetUK if you are able to. For £5 - £10 per month (the price of a few coffees) you will help us to continue our work. Each year we have to raise almost £200,000 to keep delivering our work, in an increasingly challenging fundraising environment. If every subscriber to our newsletter gave just £10 per month, all our travel costs from delivering education and training across the UK would be covered. Every penny really does make a difference.
Yours in gratitude,
Ariel Chapman
