Youth training

Youth Groups

“KeshetUK have been understanding of LJY-Netzer’s specific needs when developing sessions, working together to tailor them to be the best fit for our movement.”

– Rosa Slater, Movement Worker

Our work with Youth Groups

KeshetUK works with youth and young adult organisations and University JSocs to support young people in confidently creating spaces where the needs of LGBT+ young people are met. UK Jewish communities have a tradition of investing in organisations enabling young people and young adults to explore identity and community through peer-led informal education. KeshetUK is proud to continue that tradition by working with each organisation and creating training unique to them.

  • KeshetUK has worked with youth leaders (madrichim/ot, sgan roshim/ot and roshim/ot) across the UK in delivering pre-camp training on a wide range of LGBT+ topics. These workshops are bespoke to each movement and we work with movements to ensure our provision meets their unique requirements. Contact us in confidence to find out more or book a session.

  • KeshetUK works with younger teens and hadrachah groups throughout the year within youth movements, synagogues and community groups. As with all KeshetUK workshops, we offer bespoke sessions to ensure young LGBT+ Jews feel supported and included wherever they are.

For pre-bar/bat/bnei-mitzvah programmes we deliver age-appropriate workshops that review key language and terminology, discuss how your community's Jewish values link to LGBT+ wellbeing, and share ways to show kindness when someone comes out. Contact us in confidence to find out more or book a session.

  • Going to University is a key moment for many young people and KeshetUK is proud to have worked with multiple JSocs and students professionals across the UK to ensure that young LGBT+ Jews have the positive experience they deserve whilst at University. We understand that University is a pivotal moment for young LGBT+ people as they meet diverse groups of people from around the world whilst also navigating their first steps into adulthood. Our training and support helps to ensure young LGBT+ Jews are supported throughout their journey.

  • KeshetUK offers a wide range of training for a diversity of audiences, both bespoke and via our training menu of pre-built trainings. All are designed to support organisations wherever they are at in fostering inclusive spaces for LGBT+ Jewish people. As the only education and training organisation of our kind in the UK we understand the intersectionality of Jewish and LGBT+ experiences and with over a decade of experience, we can support you in taking your next steps. Contact us in confidence to find out more or book a session.
