We recognise that some of the topics covered in the National Jewish LGBT+ Survey may be sensitive and could prompt difficult thoughts, feelings or memories. If completing the survey has affected you in any way, we encourage you to reach out to a relevant support service or trusted source of support.
While KeshetUK does not provide counselling or support services directly, we have compiled a list of organisations that may be able to help. These organisations operate independently of KeshetUK, and we cannot accept responsibility for the services or advice they provide.
If you feel that you/someone is at immediate risk of physical harm you should contact the relevant emergency services.
If you are in the UK you can also call the Samaritans at any time for non-judgemental, confidential mental health support by calling 116 123.
Finding a therapist
You can contact your GP to access NHS mental health services and some employers also offer access to counselling via Employee Assistance Programmes.
We can also recommend going to www.pinktherapy.com and typing ‘Jewish’ into key words to filter results to show LGBT+ and Jewish therapists. Also, www.psychologytoday.com has both ‘LGBT+’ and ‘Jewish’ filters to help you find Jewish LGBT+ therapists.
