KeshetUK in Parliament

Organisations

“I cannot express enough how much I have learnt and grown through this collaboration, and I eagerly look forward to future projects together.”

– Karolin Gaedeke, Senior Learning and Staff Engagement Adviser

Our work with Organisations

KeshetUK works with both Jewish and non-Jewish organisations to support LGBT+ Jewish people through training, consultancy, advice and ad-hoc projects. In the UK, Jewish communities specifically provide a wide range of services, support and facilities. Rather than see these duplicated for Jewish LGBT+ people, Jewish communities should ensure that their provision is inclusive of LGBT+ people and their families, and meets their needs.

  • KeshetUK offers a wide range of training for a diversity of audiences, both bespoke and via our training menu of pre-built trainings. All are designed to support organisations wherever they are at in fostering inclusive spaces for LGBT+ Jewish people. As the only education and training organisation of our kind in the UK we understand the intersectionality of Jewish and LGBT+ experiences and with over a decade of experience, we can support you in taking your next steps. Contact us in confidence to find out more or book a session.

  • KeshetUK’s Consultation Support Service (CSS) is unique, it is the only consultation service to support synagogues and organisations focussed entirely on LGBT+ Jewish inclusion. The Jewish community is diverse and there is not a one-size-fits-all measure that will work for everyone. As such, our Consultation Support Service works with you to choose objectives and areas you want to work towards. Once you choose these areas of focus, we will support you to achieve these goals. We will carry out all this work with the sensitivity and non-judgemental approach that has made KeshetUK’s previous community work so successful.

The aim is to provide enough support over a set period of time, that you and your community feel confident to support your LGBT+ community and stakeholders. And that in the long run, we can support you through top up trainings and other opportunities.

  • As the only organisation of our kind in the UK, we have a dedicated team of staff and volunteers who are available to speak at your event about KeshetUK’s work, the intersectionalities of being both Jewish and LGBT+ and a whole host of other topics. Over the past ten years KeshetUK has attended events across the UK, US, Israel and Europe through speaking engagements and seminars. We love to share our experiences and expertise and actively welcome invitations to speaking engagements whether they are at your synagogue, conference or team training event.

If you are hosting an event and would like KeshetUK to speak, please get in touch.

“The training our staff received was not only informative, but allowed us to ensure our policies and procedures are appropriate for every member of the community. We will continue to engage with KeshetUK and wish them every success in the work they do.”

Karolin Gaedeke

Senior Learning and Staff Engagement Adviser

“Working with the team at KeshetUK was very smooth. They took the time to really listen to our unique context and work with us to shape trainings that would suit our needs and our different audiences. The result was lively conversation and a lot of food for thought.”

Adam Rossano

Executive Director

“It was a helpful and positive experience having KeshetUK deliver training. This training raised the knowledge and confidence of our members of staff.”

Yaffa Goschalk

Referral & Assessment Manager

“As someone with a background in training, I was incredibly impressed by the content and structure of the [KeshetUK training] event. As a gay Jewish man, it was empowering in so many ways, and greatly contributed towards enabling conversations that mean I no longer choose or split my identity in the same way.”

David

Training Participant

“UJIA has been privileged to work with and learn from KeshetUK this past year. Our religiously and culturally diverse team greatly benefited from a fantastic half day training session. All of the training creates a very safe space for everyone to ask questions and is delivered at an exceptionally high level.”

Mandie Winston

CEO

“KeshetUK works in a sensitive and understanding way to make sure that no member of our community ever feels excluded or as if they can’t be who they are. We are indebted to KeshetUK for its services.”

Claudia Mendoza

CEO

"Over the last year we have consulted with KeshetUK’s leadership on a number of issues, and brought in their skilled educators to work with our team, including our Senior Leadership Team, in order to train and develop JW3 staff. Their non-judgemental approach and commitment both to best practice and to Jewish values and community has helped ensure JW3 can best serve the needs of the wider Jewish community in a more inclusive way.”

Raymond Simonson

CEO

“This year, KeshetUK supported Parents of Jewish Gays and Lesbians by coordinating meetings between our group and the rabbinic community. We have really valued their inspirational leadership which has motivated us to be activists for LGBT inclusion!”

Alison Walsh

Co-ordinator

“The sessions they run are well planned, thought out and executed in a way that we would personally not be able to do with the topic. Young people fully engage with the sessions and the leaders of them and are not afraid to ask questions or be part of a discussion.”

Emma Sennit

Youth & Family Coordinator

“Given the wide range of people who come to Resource for support with their job search, it is vital that all of our team feel educated and comfortable discussing issues relating to LGBT+.”

Victoria Sterman

Chief Executive

"KeshetUK delivered an engaging, informative and thought-provoking session led by compassion. We would love to have them back soon!”
