About the Survey
On 12 October 2026, KeshetUK will launch the first-ever National LGBT+ Jewish Survey, creating a UK-wide evidence base on the experiences, needs and wellbeing of LGBT+ Jews. Our aim is to understand both the progress and persistent barriers facing LGBT+ Jews in Jewish and non-Jewish settings particularly in light of the increased antisemitism and isolation many have felt since the Hamas attacks in Israel on 7 October 2023. At present, no UK data captures these experiences.

Without this information, neither KeshetUK, the wider Jewish community or the government can plan effective support, shape policy or ensure that LGBT+ Jews feel safe, included and able to express their identities. The survey is being coordinated with the support of the Jewish Leadership
Council, The Hineni Project and advice from
the Institute for Jewish Policy Research.

Who can take part?

The survey is open to:

  • People aged 18 and over

  • Anyone who identifies as both Jewish and LGBT+

Participants from all Jewish backgrounds and denominations are encouraged to take part, including Orthodox, Progressive, Reform, Liberal, Masorti, Sephardi, Mizrahi, traditional, cultural and secular Jews.

The survey is equally important for those who have had positive experiences and those who have faced challenges. Understanding what is working well is just as valuable as identifying where improvements are needed.
