Come and join KeshetUK to celebrate Pride Month including Pride in London 2019, Black Pride 2019 and other events! We look forward to Jewish communities across the city marking it and celebrating LGBT+ people and their families.
KeshetUK invites you to take part in any way you can. For Pride in London Pride Parade itself, we will be marching with other Jewish LGBT+ community groups to show the diversity of our community together with our allies. You will need to register for a free wristband to join us for the parade. Read on for all the need-to-know info! We'd love to help you publicise any other events too. If you want us to consider including a listing on our website or social media, please send details to info@keshetuk.org. |
Please note: These events are not run by KeshetUK but we are proud to advertise them. The only event being co-ordinated by KeshetUK is on the day at Pride in London for the parade.

Pride Kabbalat Shabbat @ Willesden Minyan, with Rabbi Daniel Lichman
Location: Hashomer House, 37A Broadhurst Gardens, West Hampstead (nearest tube Finchley Road), NW6 3QT
Time: Service 6.30-7.45, followed by veggie potluck dinner
Join members of Shir Hayim and Willesden Minyan for a Shabbat service brimming with Jewish Pride. We'll celebrate the liberation of LGBTQ people and the Queer Jewish experience; hear lived experiences from members of our community; and recommit to fighting for equality and freedom for LGBTQ people everywhere. Also - potluck dinner! Bring a dish to share, bonus points for rainbow-coloured contributions.
As is becoming our custom, we will have a collective "Shechechiyanu", a blessing for new things in our lives. So whether you've recently come out, finished your exams, are moving house, have a new job or a new dog - bring your news, and we'll bless your transition with the community.
If you are LGBTQI+ and have never been to a service before, we'd especially like to welcome you for this special evening. Friends, partners and family welcome, whether Jewish or not.

- Pride in London Parade: Assemble to collect wristbands
- Pride Parade starts moving (see Parade section below) - remember to bring your banners and flags!
Saturday 6 July 2019 - Joining the Parade
- We are very excited to be taking part in the Parade for another year! KeshetUK is co-ordinating the Jewish groups at Pride in London including: West London Synagogue, Jewish LGBT+ Group (formerly JGLG), Gay Jews In London, Beit Klal Yisrael, Imahot v’Avot, Laviot and Parents of Jewish Gays and Lesbians) and we hope you are able to join us!
- As a security precaution Pride in London request that everyone in the parade has registered for a wristband. We have a limited number (unfortunately much less than last year) so please see below on how to register for a free wristband.
- The Jewish groups will meet before hand (location and time can be found in your confirmation email) so you can collect your wristbands. Please look out for the KeshetUK flags!
- We will then move to our Assembly Point - the starting position for all the Jewish groups
- The Parade will finish latest at 19.00 (but usually it's around 16.30 - we will have a better idea of timing closer to the time)
On the day we are excited for you to join us! Please be prepared to sing, dance, chant, bring your placards and flags and represent the diversity of the Jewish community.

Wristbands for Pride in London - available from 12pm on Tuesday 28 May 2019!
As always for Pride in London - you need to register for free wristbands in order to join the Jewish groups in the parade!
This year KeshetUK together with the other LGBT+ Jewish groups and allies have received a smaller allocation of wristbands than previous years. and this year, these will be distributed on a strictly first-come-first-served basis.
***UPDATE 3 July 2019***
How to get wristbands on the day:
At 12.05pm we will be distributing any wristbands we have left over (by those who don’t show up) by Great Portland Street station. Every year we have people who don’t turn up on the day, even though they have registered. And so if you are keen to join the Jewish block on the day, please arrive before 12.05pm and tell Kelly Waldorf your name (she is pictured here: https://www.keshetuk.org/the-team.html). She will keep a list of those who are there to collect those wristbands that haven’t been collected. We will then hand them out first come, first serve. There is no guarantee you will get a ticket, but it’s worth a try if you’re in the area.
------------------------
Watch the parade:
We have received an email from the Faith and Belief Forum and though we would share the opportunity with you. They are organising an interfaith meetup on the morning of London Pride. They will be meeting before Pride starts for a drink/bite to eat at a local cafe (location tbc depending on numbers), and then be watching the first couple of hours of the Pride parade in the Piccadilly Circus area. They aim to make their group a friendly and inclusive space. This group is open to people of all faiths and non-religious beliefs, LGBT+ people and allies and will be non-alcoholic. For Pride regulars and people who have never been to Pride before. Although, watching will still involve a lot of crowds. More info / sign up here.
**UPDATE 7 JUNE 2019** - Initial allocation of wristbands have gone, so please click here to register for the waiting list.
If you have registered but are now unable to attend, or can get a wristband elsewhere - please let us know by emailing info@keshetuk.org and we will redistribute your wristband.
