AMA KeshetUK
Many people we speak to tell us they feel hesitant about asking questions to people in their lives for fear of causing offence. In the hope of removing such a barrier for the synagogues and organisations we work with, we are piloting a series of Ask Me Anything sessions at KeshetUK. These are drop-in sessions where people working or volunteering in the Jewish community can ask questions or explore issues from their work or life about the wellbeing of Jewish LGBT+ people in a space free of judgement.
These free sessions will be run on Zoom, once a month (every fourth Thursday) and will be at most 30 minutes for you to us as any KeshetUK related questions. The sessions are open to leadership and staff of synagogues and Jewish community organisations 18-years-old and over, regardless of whether you have previously participated in our training sessions. They will be confidential 1-2-1s or you can invite other colleagues to join you in the Zoom. Please be aware, these are not therapeutic or counselling sessions.
As an education and training charity, we hope to create a space where you can ask questions or explore issues that are presenting in your work in relation to the wellbeing of Jewish LGBT+ people. The meeting will be run with the same values that run throughout all KeshetUK training: we presume your question is coming from a place of goodwill and a desire to learn, and our response will be non-judgemental and confidential.
If your question requires a more thorough response than we can provide in 30 minutes, we will work to find another solution, or you can book more in depth training.
If you have any questions, please email [email protected].
