Jewish communities are diverse and there is no single approach that will work for everyone. KeshetUK works in partnership with communities to identify their goals, then we tailor our support so they can achieve them.
KeshetUK workshops use a mixture methods to understand how LGBT+ inclusion can work in Jewish communities. They are interactive and create a space where any question can be asked.
Participants will review the use of language, consider the perceived barriers to participation of Jewish LGBT+ people in Jewish life, and explore how we can make our communities more welcoming of LGBT+ people and their families.

Testimonials
"The training we received from KeshetUK was invaluable to ensure members of the LGBT+ community feel welcome in our organisation. In recent years CST has engaged with more LGBT+ people than ever before and working with KeshetUK, we want to ensure this continues to grow. CST knows better than anyone what it’s like to be discriminated against, and we will stand shoulder to shoulder with everyone who wants to fight any form of discrimination. The training our staff received was not only informative, but allowed us to ensure our policies and procedures are appropriate for every member of the community. We will continue to engage with KeshetUK and wish them every success in the work they do."

"A high quality training which enabled us as a team of professionals to reflect, challenge and review our own assumptions, knowledge and practice in relation to LGBT+ children, young people, families we support and continue to improve in our efforts to be a truly inclusive organisation. Would recommend to any organisation that works with people in an empowering and supportive way."

"I want to personally thank you for delivering a highly informative, inspiring and dynamic training yesterday. I personally have gained A LOT out of the information I absorbed and look forward to continuing my learning and supporting journey with KeshetUK. I included the “Gender Book”, as recommended by Dalia yesterday, in the JHub newsletter this month and have linked it on the KnowHow section of our website."
"I thank you for your time and putting together a great workshop, for creating a comfortable space to share and learn with strangers from such different backgrounds. It was delivered to time and seamlessly by the volunteers and I encourage as many people to get involved." Maytal Kuperard, JHub (2016) |
